Vicki Adaway is the owner of Adaway and Associates. She has over 25 years of working with people in personal and professional settings. Vicki has an eclectic approach to her work which allows each client's unique needs to be met. She assists clients in moving from unconscious incompetence to unconscious competence whether she is partnered with an executive coaching client, client in therapy, or in a training capacity. Vicki began some of the first programs in Birmingham for Adult Children of Alcoholics and has many years of working with individuals and families as well as providing educational training programs on Addiction in the Family and in the Workplace. She is skilled in identifying patterns of communication in individuals that stop them from having the healthy interactions that they desire personally or professionally. Her work also includes helping individuals remove blocks around money and financial issues. Vicki has a Masters degree in Health and Human Services from Georgia State University and is an ANCC Board Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist. Glenn Magargee, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor, began practicing Equine Assisted Therapy in the mid-1990's. Her work with individuals, families and corporate teams address issues such as conflict resolution, problem solving and building functional teams. Her utilization of horses in change work is a novel yet powerful way to move clients to their desired outcomes. Glenn has owned horses for more than 20 years and continues to work with EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association). Corporate clients have commented on the broad reaching effects that have been observed back in the workplace following a program or retreat with the horses. Ray Spivey has spent over thirty years counseling people with alcohol, drug and other problems. He earned B.A. and M.A. degrees at Virginia Tech and did graduate work in counseling at John Hopkins in Baltimore. He hold addiction counseling credentials in both Alabama and Virginia as well as being a Nationally Certified Addictions Counselor. He is a Master Practitioner of NLP and is frequently sought as a speaker or trainer at seminars and workshops dealing with addiction and addiction related problems. He has been a presenter for a variety of institutions, including the University of Alabama School of Alcohol and Drug Studies, Auburn University, and the U. S. Army. He was recently a speaker on the subject of addiction at the World Health Conference in San Francisco.
